Professor Maverick Santos started his Jiu-Jitsu journey back in Brazil in 2007 with the renowned Master Zé Radiola. In 2019, Maverick moved to Australia to compete and teach Jiu-Jitsu at the SJJA Jiu-Jitsu Academy, led by the esteemed Bruno Alves.
With 15 years of experience, much of it spent competing nationally and internationally, Maverick has earned medals in major Brazilian tournaments such as the Brazilian National, World Abu Dhabi Pro Natal Trial, and AJP Tour Oceania Gi and No-Gi.
He has honed his coaching skills as a Head Coach at SJJA Jiu-Jitsu Academy, working with both children and adults. Now, he is excited to bring his expertise to SJJA Maroochydore, on the Sunshine Coast where he looks forward to helping his students achieve their goals.
I believe Jiu Jitsu can help you become a better human being in so many different ways once you have a real connection with whoever will guide you on your Jiu Jitsu journey.
